I port with a press first to get the exact cutting measurments on all the plenums ports. After that you SHOULD NOT attack with a aggressive brush bit... which is what looks like was done in the pics. Those brushes leave a lot of scratch marks and actually can hamper flow worst than the stock cast markings at times. I prefer a cone bit with an extension and a 60 grit compound, then hit it with another cone bit with a 80 grit compound. the lip should have an edge to it with a very lite smoothness, but not too much other wise airflow just hits the gasket and that (again) hampers flow. I usually port to the factory gasket line unless someone wants a full 1mm port which is much more aggressive but the only downfall is that you need to match the gasket (not very hard). The porting process alone should take about 9 hours for an upper and lower plenum (includes cleaning which is IMOP MANDATORY...... don't want bit flying into chambers to cause chaos later.) So, you have to understand it is a teadeous process but relatively simple if you know what to watch out for. I post this for one reason! To let people know to ask for pics first. I HATE to hear of people getting ripped off, I can't stand it.... it pisses me off more than thieves. I usually say if you don't like the work, you should be able to get your cash back... or at least a portion of it back. Sorry again, hope everything works out.
